How lease works? How much around would it cost me to lease a car. FIRST CAR?

I'm a youngster fresh out of university into my second year of a good full time job. I'm a bit confused about leasing. Honda claims to charge 45 weekly on an ad for a civic, but this seems way to cheap to be true. What is the catch/extra cost on a lease?

P.S I'm also weighing the option of buying a used car, but don't want to risk repair costs.

The extra cost is mandatory insurance and a cap limit on how many miles you can drive. Plus you have to get all maintenance done at their dealership. All in all leasing comes out to be almost as much as buying and making payments but without the risk and the credit approval.

If you decide buying used, (better option imo) go for Japanese and get it inspected by a licensed mechanic before you sign anything. If you buy used go for 40000, 50000 miles for minimal risk on repairs. Don't buy salvaged title because those are hard to resell.

Only $6.43 per day! But that is $193 per month, with money due at signing, limited miles, and you have to turn in a nearly pristine vehicle at the end of the lease period to avoid paying more for a car you are giving away.

Leasing is for people with very good established credit, you likely won't qualify and that's good because its a rip off.
