How much more expensive is it to do maintenance on a Volkswagen TDI or GTI vs a Scion Tc, or honda civic si?
I would really like to get a Volkswagen but I Keep hearing that the maintenance is much more complicated and costly than most brands?
Its not the maintenance, but the repairs and specialty tools! And believe me, there will be plenty of repairs in your future
What you hear is true. They're horrendously expensive.
It's no different. An engine is an engine, a car is a car. There's nothing special about them that is so radically different. If you go to a dealer, yes, it's drastically more expensive. Otherwise, a clutch, or timing belt, or any normal service costs just as much for a GTI as it does for a Scion or Honda.
- Why does it appear used cars are more expensive than new? For example. I'm looking at a 2019 Honda City, new it's $17,990 drive away if I look on car sales the 2017 model is even $19,000. Ok the 2019 is a manual price but that's a huge difference and 2 years on. Please tell me what I'm missing?
- Why are Volkswagen Jettas so expensive? The base 2016 jetta comes with almost no features that other cars such as honda, corolla, mazda3, and nissan sentra have Its just a barebones car, what makes it so special that its justifies the same price?
- Which brands of cars are more reliable and less expensive to maintain? I have been driving American cars, Honda, Toyota and they're easy to find parts when something go wrong. I would like to buy a Volkswagen beetle or a European car. Like 2004 or 2003 Volkswagen beetle. If something go wrong, does it cost more to fix it? Is maintenance more expensive than a Honda or a Toyota yaris. I know the Honda and Toyota last forever after a few hundred thousand miles and they re still in excellent running condition with regular services. What do you guys think?
- Nissan vs Hyundai vs Toyota vs Honda vs Scion. Which one is more reliable and a better purchase? Nissan vs. Hyundai vs. Toyota vs. Honda vs. Scion… Which one is more reliable and a better purchase?
