How to replace a racing steering wheel with one that has an airbag on a honda civic?
I found a 1992 Honda Civic SI that i want to buy, but the stock steering wheel was replaced with an after-market one. I know the stock steering wheel has an airbag, so I wanted to know how difficult and how much it would cost to put one in. Someone was telling me it could cost as much as $800 because I would have to have the whole steering column replaced, but that seemed a little much. (For those of you that are going to get on my head about this, this isn't my decision. My parents will only let me get a car with an airbag).
If there's an aftermarket steering column, unfortunately your friend is right, but it is probably not the steering column, but rather just the steering wheel. Meaning it won't cost you nearly that much probably like 100 - 200 bucks to pay a garage to do it.

Every time i move the steering wheel even slightly it makes a slight faint noise. The steering wheel turns fine and is not stiff. The noise is definitely inside basically when I'm driving a slightly turning the wheel.
