How to zip tie a bumper back on?
I have a 1990 Honda civic and when i bought it, the rear bumper was rusted to the point where the whole thing was nearly falling off.
Long story short i got rear ended and now the only thing holding it up is the back hitch.
I heard somewhere that zip ties are super handy with this problem, anyone able to help?
Look up on youtube for chrisfix he did a great video on this! He used a lot of zip ties for a cars bumper
I hope you don't get caught by the cops for driving an unsafe vehicle. If the bumper were to fall off and damage someone's car or injure them, you are in a heap of trouble. You need to get the bumper fixed by a body shop, As soon as possible.
Since it's useless as a bumper, would it be better to just take it off til you feel like actually fixing it. Won't you be getting money from the rear hit for this purpose?
It's not a bumper. It's a lightweight molded plastic cover. Use whatever spins your top. Throw in some duct tape while your at it. No. It is not illegal. Btw Since the thing is half off, take a look under. See that black welded steel plate on each side? That's your bumper.
