Is my automatic transmission really failing?
I got my transmission flushed full. 8 Quarts and the guy said my transmission is failing. So he adjusted my throttle pressure now it revs high before shifting gears. Is my transmission really failing or can i adjust the throttle. Pressure to make it shift right again. This is a 1993 honda civic automatic transmission.
Transmission is going. Throttle pressure should of never been touched in the fist place. Find local shop at ATRA.COM for more help. And never use that shop again
How many miles on it? Is there a transmission filter, was that replaced? If not that needs to be done.
Did this place use the right fluid? Not right by them saying…"Oh don't worry fluids are all the same", I mean honda fluid or honda spec fluid?
Transmission fail over time, even if properly maintained.
Get a second opinion, but it sounds like your transmission is going bad.

- Is it hard to do an oil change on a 1992 honda prelude automatic transmission? So i have an automatic 92 honda prelude. Its a 2.2l engine non vtech, and I've been wondering if i should do an oil change on the tranny. Main questions i have are, is it hard? Would i need to change the filter? Or simply just drain out the oil and add new oil in? Any help will be well appreciated. I want to do this on my own i don't want to spend over 100 dollars at an auto shop lol.
- Honda Amaze automatic or Hyundai Xcent automatic? Which would be better purely in terms of performance, acceleration, smooth and fast gearshifts and handling, i mean the better drivers car. I know hondas transmission and engines are great, but is the hyundai as good too? Even though the xcent has only 4 gears, i.e. 1 less than the amaze, it has tiptronic, would this by any chance improve the driving experience? I sadly don't have the opportunity to test drive these cars.
