Walmart oil change gone bad?
On 12/15/12 at around 1:00 PM I went to walmart super center tire and lube. There was a long line of cars. A man greeted me. Telling me that I would have a wait of 1hr 30mins. He tried selling me all this extra stuff for my oil change. And I just declined it and said I just need an oil change. I went shopping around walmart for 1hr then came back to the auto center. My car wasn't even worked on yet. Almost all the men in the garage were staring at me and acting real shady. It made me uncomfortable and I kept getting up to look out the window to see what they were doing but they parked my car close to the end of the garage and I couldn't see much past my hood. Because they had two cars in line at once.It was taking them a good while to finish a simple oil change. The technician who greeted me came in and said sorry for the wait but we can't but we can't do your oil change. I was like why? And he said he didn't want to take the plug out to ruin my car… (Mind you, I'm not very good with cars I'm a 19 year old female college student. I also have a 2000 Honda civic that I bought from a trusted mechanic) I was like ok ill leave. Then a minute later he comes in and says Nevermind he got it out were going to do an oil change. I was like are you sure? He said yes. My fault for trusting a crook. Soon my car was done. The two men that had worked on my car left before I saw it. When I went outside I was suspicious so I wanted to see what they did. I went to open my good and my latch was completely broken off! I walked into the garage and a technician called the manager. The manager told me to go to a Honda Dealership and ask them for an estimate of how much it would be to fix it. And bring it back for a claim. She also told me they put on my old plug because they didn't have the right size for the new one. Later my car is leaking tons of oil and when I stop the engine is rattling! I don't know what to do. I read about walmart oil changes and I'm terrified thy won't honor my claim!
The only reason the technician had to replace the plug to drain the oil is because the technician stripped the threads of both the plug and the oil pan. In other words the technician destroyed your car and Wallmart is responsible for any and all damage to your car they caused by stripping the threads. Were you to continue to drive the car with oil dripping, the engine will be destroyed and Walmart will be responsible for payment of all charges to replace the engine. You'll have to make a written demand to Walmart to instigate a claim. You may want to hire an attorney to do this for you as Walmart will be ordered by the judge to pay the attorney fees you incur due to negligence by the Walmart technician.

- 2004 Honda Pilot! I did an oil change today check the manual for the engine oil capacity, it is 4.8 liters and put 4.4 liters and add .5 ltr? Total engine oil put is 4.9 liters and I'm surprised the dipstick is above the second hole by 10mm. Is it overfill or do i need to remove some?

- Motorcycle at walmart parking lot? I work 8 hour shifts at a Walmart. I'm wondering where the best place would be to park a motorcycle (honda rebel 250). Would it be near the entrance, somewhere in the middle, or as close to the doors as possible? Also, other than a cover what else should I invest in? I work 4-12 so I'm afraid it could be stolen while i'm working
- Is going from synthetic oil in my '03 HOnda Hybrid to regular oil bad? Over 100K miles, always used synthetic oil. Took the car to my mechanic to have brakes checked, and he thought the oil looked dirty so he drained it and put in regular oil. Now I'm concerned about my engine. Advice please? I do not know what kind of regular oil he put in.
