What would this car be worth?
I'm thinking about buying a 2008 Honda civic si coupe. It has 80,000 miles and It is black with black wheels, and has metallic flake paint. It has a 2.0L dohc and a 6 speed manual transmission. It is in show car condition and nothing is wrong with it. My question is what would this car be worth and is 15 grand too much?
Hondas are way overpriced(NEW or used).
$15.9K can get you a brand spanking new 2015 corolla(just as an example). With 0 miles. No its not a civic Si or a sport car by any means, but IT IS BRAND NEW. If you can find a high volume sales dealership in your city the price will go down by a few grands.
let me guess the car was driven by an old lady and never abused! Right?
- Is it worth buying an older car with original miles? I'm looking at this 98 Honda Prelude Sh that has 20k original miles. They're asking 14 grand for this car which normally would turn me away. But I see similar preludes around my area that sell for about 5-6 grand with "reasonable" miles. (140k-170k). Now I'm having second thoughts, any suggestions? No doubt I'm in love with this prelude, but 14 grand is gut wrenching.
- Is any luxury car worth it? I could buy a Mercedes with heated seats, fancy interior, and overall luxury. But is it really worth an extra 20k? Does it get me anything that a Honda doesn't?
- What happens if the damage on my car, is worth more than the car itself? I got in a car accident a while ago… I have a 92 Honda civic, which is worth about $2000. The accident wasn't my fault since I got hit from behind. The person who hit me… Her insurance told me that the damage might be worth more than the car when they came to appraise the damage, and that if that's the case… They would have to consider it totaled or something like that. What's supposed to happen? What are they going to do?
- Is getting a manual car worth it? I was thinking about getting a Honda civic Si Sedan FA5. Is this a good choice for buying for my first car?
