Automatic or manual trans? Right or left shaft? I can get them for between $29.97 and $48.43 US. You can't. That's with a mechanic's discount. Assume between 10% and 200% markup depending on whether you go to a brick and mortar store or buy them on line. Personally I would never buy such a thing from a yard. The condition is usually bad or worse. They are properly called "half axles" or "CV shaft assemblies."
P.S. Don't forget the core charge.
- Small honda 5.5 engine shaft PTO attachment? I recently found a small 5.5 honda engone in my garage, and when i was running it, i noticed that the shaft wasn't spinning fast at all, then i noticed this weird circular thing bolted onto it, and it had its separate oil fill hole… What is this? How do i take it off?! I don't want to take it off and mess it up
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- Would a bad input shaft bearing noise present during certain rpms while jacked up? My honda civic makes a loud rattle during certain rpms (2000+rpm) in 1st and 2nd gear, it does have a bad isb but the rattle i'm not %100 if it is related to the isb. Should the rattle/grind also be evident if the car is jacked up if it had to do with the isb?
- What would cause power steering fluid to leak out of an input shaft seal? Would replacing the seal fix this issue? I don't see why fluid is even entering the steering gear/shaft area anyways. I thought it doesn't. 2008 Honda Civic coupe
