Does the engine last longer on a v4 vs v6 honda?

Assuming all the variables are constant the V6 has less work to do per cylinder. So the V6 will last longer.

My engine light went on last night? I just had major work done last week, timing belt snapped caused value damage I had a new belt values, mechanic told me I have a new top half of my engine. I have a 12 month guarantee and I going to ask him tomorrow. I just wanted to know just for my curiosity why it would go on. I have 160, 000 miles on it 2005 Honda.

What car is better and will last longer? Mazda 6 '08 vs Honda Civic '06? I currently have a Honda 06 with about 104,000 miles on it and my mom said I can either keep my Honda or take her Mazda 6 with around 80,000 miles on it. Now I know that the Mazda has less mileage but I hear that Hondas will last forever. I want my car to last me for at least a couple more years maybe 10 if I'm lucky. I don't drive far at all either.
