What happens if I miss a car payment?

(I've had 1 deferment, the next has to be approved)

I have a 2013 honda Fit I bought from a Honda Dealer about 8 months ago, in August we made a move to a different state and had issues with my lined up job sticking. So in September I had to defer a car payment. I got a job since then and have managed to make the payments, rent, bills etc. As for this month my daughter's SSI was reduced 500.00 because my pay dates for a previous month fell as 3 paychecks in one month (I didn't actually make extra money) so I called Honda and the lady on the phone said a manager would have to approve a 2nd one in 8 months. I have proof our finances will be back to normal next month and thereafter. IF IT IS NOT APPROVED, what happens when I can't make this car payment? (I can't borrow from family and I don't own anything worth pawning) I just don't want my car being repoed.

I don't know what the terms of your contract are.
It could get repoed.
They could cancel the contract and demand full payment.
They could charge an extra fee.
They could balloon the interest payments, which will make it even more difficult to keep up in the future.

None of these are good options.

talk to them and try to work something out. Maybe a partial payment.

Things work out much better if you work closely with the finance company. They would like to see you get back on track rather than repossess the car and try to get money out of it that way.

You ask the people you owe the money to. I really do not think they worry about it as they will penalize you and you have to pay extra. I found the dealership quite helpful in aiding me when I was in difficulty.
