Will 17 inch rims with 50 series tires fit on my 2003 honda civic?
Will 17 inch rims with 50 series tires fit on my 2003 honda civic?
Hi if only it was that simple. It is not the rims need to have the same offset distance as well other wise they will rub ob the bodywork or scrape the inside of the wheel arch. Also the speedometer will read some difference as you are using a larger wheel.
Karl,
You can certainly use a 17 inch tire and wheel set up on your 2003 Civic. However, to stay within Honda specs 17x7 sized rims and 215/45-17 sized tires is recommended by Honda. Could you use a 215/50-17 sized tire instead? Yes, absolutely, but your speedometer would be ever so slightly out of calibration. And as DR+ mentioned you have to be careful with the wheel offset as well. Only hunt for rims that have a 35 to 40mm offset.
- I'm thinking about doing an engine swap. B series vtech or K series vtech? I have a 2000 honda ek coupe with a d series vtech, but I'm looking to upgrade the power without the use of forced induction. My best bet is an engine swap but I'm still deciding between a b20 vtech or a k20 vtech. Which one would give me more power and what parts will I need?
- Would 18x8 rims with p225/45/r18 tires fit on my stock 2008 Honda Civic? Found a great deal on some rims with tires and needed to know if they would fit for sure. They were previously on an 04 bmw 325i
- Will these rims fit these tires? I have a honda s2k and I was wondering if 17" staggered wheels would fit these size tires 17x7 on 225/45/17 17x8.5 on 255/40/17
- Will these 17 inch tires fit my car? Ok I have a 95' honda civic and when I bought the car the tires the previous owner put on were 205 40 17. If I were to purchase 215 45 17 from someone selling them cheap would they fit my car.
