Honda cg 125 clone copy won't start after top end rebuild?

I renewed piston as it had crap compression and won't idle like if it wasn't having fuel. I took it apart and found that piston rings were past the limit and top one was seized to piston now after checking head for worp and putting back together with fresh gaskets. It wants to but won't start. I have tried everything I've checked spark it keeps going orange and blue. Checked its having fuel and tried putting fuel down bore ( it seems to lock up enough to push fuel out of exhaust). And compression test with finger (tight pinch on finger and makes a sound of a loud rocket) … It's a push rod engine so timing can't be out as the timing can't be messed with unless you take off flywheel cover. 157FMI valves set to 5.0 inlet exhaust 8.0

After replacing the rings, did you remove the cylinder wear ridge and deglaze the cylinder? Afterwards, cylinder honing is an excellent idea as well, and easily done at home with a fairly cheap tool mounted to a hand-held drill.

If not, your new rings won't seal and quite possibly may have already been damaged on the wear ridge. Too little compression means no starting. A simple finger test won't reveal that.

  • Honda clone small engine, horizontal shaft, high idle? It is on a baja warrior mini bike. I bought this bike from a guy who tried to make it a bit faster but left me with a problem. When starting the bike you have to jump on it as soon as it fires up because it starts going with out any twist of the throttle. I already cleaned the carb and the jets and tried adjusting the idle at the idle screw on top of the carb. The linkage looks fine and returns to the position it should. Also the clutch is in working order. How do I lower the idle?
  • Honda cbr250r smaller sprocket for more top end? Guys, I want to gain a good top end speed on my honda cbr250r. In that case i'll have to install a smaller rear sprocket. But what I want to know is, a sprocket with how many Teeth is recommended for optimum performace at the top end? Please pour in your suggestions.
  • Does a top mount intercooler have to be on top? I've got a 13b Turbo II Intercooler from an rx7 and I was wondering if it could be side mounted on a honda. I figure I'd just have to custom fit it somewhere but, I wanted some input if it would work like that. It should considering it's just a basically a cooler.
  • Why won't my car won't start after putting in gas? I have a 2007 civic, 80,000 miles, about a year old battery. Yesterday after I filled up the gas tank my car wouldn't start. Waited about 1 minute and it started fine. This had happened about 4 months ago (I had it checked at Honda) and they said it was okay. But today I went a short distance (15 minutes from home left the car for about 5) and my car didn't want to start. What could it be?
