I don't know a lot about cars, but I've always though Mazdas are very pretty. Are they good cars?

How do they compare to something like Hondas in terms of relability?

Mazda cars have an excellent reputation for reliability.

They are equal… All Japanese and most Korean cars are reliable… No1 for me is toyota

Mazda today are probably the leading Japanese car firm for reliability, quality and innovation. Toyta and Honda have lost their way. Just avoid any vehicle with the 2.3L Turbo, that engine has been known to have problems with sludge.

With their skyactiv motors they are at the front or leading the way. Even Toyota is buying their engines. The latest thing is direct injection engines. Gas and diesel turbo.

I'm with boy boy. People who criticise Asian cars have never owned one. My daughter drives a Toyota clone (Citroen CI) new from 2009. It has never let her down and even has the original battery. That's 7 years without even a minor fault.

One of the cars in my family is an '05 Mazda 3. It has been an excellent vehicle so far. The biggest knock against it is how quickly it can rust ( I live in a snowy region where road salt is liberally used ). Ours has not been a problem since it has been rust-sprayed every year but there are lots of similar vintage 3's on the road that have very bad rust issues around the rear wheel wells and trunk.

Pretty comparable to Honda across the board in reliability. Plus, most of their cars are IIHS top safety picks.

Mazda is a very good car. Equal to any other major car maker from Japan. The Mazda3 has been named one of the best small cars on the market year after year.

3 and 6 have high ratings at consumer reports.

I've always thought Mazda was almost as good as the more popular Honda and Toyota but were usually available for less. So when I was a dealer, I tried to buy everyone I could.

They are good cars but harder to find. Just because not as any were sold.

Mazda's are great cars. Buy one today.
