Is the transmission slipping?
I have an automatic '98 Honda 2.3
Is this slipping transmission = I need a new one?
Car takes awhile to accelerate, and when I shift to drive there's a small bump before it starts driving. Is this slipping… If so now what? Oh and RPM's go up and sometimes It could be stuck in a gear
But I had my codes checked and nothing in the codes indicated it was the transmission. It said my engine was misfiring on all 4 cylinders, and how "P1381, P1457, P300" have NOTHING to do with the transmission…
I'm so confused. I have a check engine light. Help
Added (1). Oh and the shifting works quick and fast.
You need a new distributor from honda.
You've been spamming this place for the last two days with this question. If you can't wrap your head around the fact that it is not the transmission, then I suggest you just go get the transmission repaired for the heck of it.
- Transmission going out on friend's 2004 Impala. Is it possible to install a manual transmission taken from a 1992 Honda Civic in this car? Not worth replacing trans on a car this old, but the engine and everything else are still perfect. My friend was able to get a free manual trans from a 1992 Honda Civic. But i'm not sure whether or not you can use a trans from a different vehicle
- 1982 cm250 slipping gears, and not getting the right speed out of each gear? I have a 1982 honda cm250 bike. I recently had the motor rebuilt with new shift forks, etc. I got the bike back and it's doing this issue ( the same issue as when I took it into the shop). I was told that these are common issues with that year motor. I'm having a hard time believing this, as people say it is a great beginner bike.
- Can a auto transmission that is slipping cause my car to have problem starting? I have a honda civic 98 my transmission started slipping and for some reason my car starts and then when I turn it off it won't start again I would have to wait a couple of minutes. I just put in a new starter. So I don't know if my tranny is causing it to not start. Anyone can help me thanks in advance.
- Can you put a 7 speed manual transmission in a car that comes stock with a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission? I'm just curious to know if this is possible or if anyone has tried it. I wany to know what is possible to get the most out of a car. I'm probably going to be getting an acura(no hondas) and doing the necessary upgrades, turbo and all that. If anyone has any experience let me know
