Buying 2006 Honda Pantheon. Is it worth?

I live in UK. I'm planning to buy a second hand Honda Pantheon 125cc for £800. It's 2006 model and almost 10 years old now. It has done 32000 (km OR miles not sure).

I have attached a pic of the scooter here. I have not seen this in person yet. Being a Honda made I think it will be fine even if its 10 years old. This is my first scooter and I would like to use it for commuting. Roughly 25 miles a day.

I would like some feedback OR suggestions from experts here. Please let me know if I should provide further details.

Most likely the mileage is Km.
The 32,000 maybe be a bit much but as you said it's a Honda. Still the scoot needs maintenance just like any other two-wheeled machine so hopefully that was taken care of.
Another hopefully is your ability to pick out the little details that it may have need of repair or replacement, things like tires (with a 'y' if you wysh), sprockets, chain and so-forth.
That scoot is not available here in the States but size-wise and $ converstion the price is decent compared to scoots here.

This is the UK and as such, I will give you a UK answer.

The UK use MPH not KM, so the clocks will be MPH (unless its an import which would be strange as these were an official UK bike).

Therefore, 32000 miles is quite high for a 10 year old 125cc scooter for that sort of price! I certainly wouldn't pay £800 for it, put it that way.

They also don't have chain and sprockets as they are a scooter which is belt driven. You can't see the belt as its housed in the transmission/swingarm.

I'd be looking at buying a venerable old CG125. These things will take a hammering and still keep on running - good old engine tech! They'll take the miles but for £800 you could probably get a late CG125 with less than 10000 miles on the clock that's been pampered rather than abused.

I'd take someone with you who knows about bikes BEFORE you buy one. This should help make sure you don't buy a rubbish bike that's over-priced and needs a lot of work.

You/they should be looking at/out for;
1. Tyre condition
2. Chain and sprocket condition
3. Headrace bearing condition
4. Swingarm bushes
5. Wheel bearings
6. Smooth and quiet engine running
7. No leaks from the engine (CG125s are air cooled so any leaks would be oil or fuel)
8. Rust
9. Brake operation and condition
10. Suspension operation and condition
11. Clutch operation

The beauty with simple bikes is that everything can be tested easily at a viewing and 90% of it is on show!
