Can you bleed a 2007 honda crf230f's forks?

I've heard you need to instal fork bleeders but I don't know if I can even bleed my forks.

Why do you want to bleed the forks?
If the seals are in good condition, no air can get inside, so bleeding is not necessary.
If you wan to bleed them, put the bike on a stand to get the front wheel off the ground.
Crack loose the fork tops.

Forks bleeders are a special add-on at the top of the forks, unscrew the stock caps and install the bleeders.
Weather they help you is a matter of how hard you ride and in what conditions. Multiple small to mid-sized whoops being the major part of that condition.
Unscrewing the cap a little at the end of that type of riding and gently pressing down on the front suspension should take most of the pressure away.

Just to be clear, you want to bleed the air out of the top of the forks? This is wrong as forks need an air space so that they can compress. If there was no air, the fork would be incompressible and you may as well have a solid steel bar holding the front wheel on.
The fork oil level is quite critical to the functioning of the fork. You can put less oil in the fork and get a softer ride or put a bit more than standard and it will stiffen the forks a little bit.

  • What forks Honda SL350k1? I have a 1971 Honda SL175. With no real interest in keeping it "original". I need to bring the bike lower and clear up the space tire>headlight (I know why it has this setup, and will not be taking it offroad ever) Question: what forks can I purchase to lower the bike? Or would I be able to slide down on my current forks?
  • Should I trade my Honda Crf230f for a Suzuki Rmz250? I have a 2006 crf230f with an fmf powercore 4 slip on and also re jetted and a Uni high flow airfilter an amr stage 3 rev box and a younger kid is offering to trade me his 2004 rmz250 because it is too big for him. Any opinions?
  • Can you put harley wide glide forks on a honda shadow ace 1100? Both forks are 41mm. I'm trying to put a 21" front tire on the bike and I'm weighing my options on what I should do. If the forks can set into the triple tree with not much problem Luke only having to make shims then that's the way to go.
