CB unicorn won't start after connecting the battery?
Hi
I'm using honda unicorn 1 year old. I'm facing strange problem. My bike won't start after connecting the battery. Battery seems to be ok. As soon as I remove the battery, my bike is starting in one kick. It's headlight & other indicators are working properly. But if the battery is connected it won't start at all… Even not by kick also… When i connected the battery its indicators stop working. They are dead… Is there any problem in electrical wring or do I have to replace the battery?
A you connecting it correctly?
You have connected the battery improperly and BLOWN the Main fuse. (just's just outside the battery box on the Red(+)-Pos. Lead).
Check the amperage on the fuse and replace with a new one. Disconnect the battery leads, relace the Main fuse and while reconnecting the battery lead do the Red(+)-Pos first and than the Black(-)-Neg last.
Since you say you know how to check fuses, you have a dmm… So, like, use it to figure out the problem. It ain't rocket science. You don't even mention the no-load (disconnected) voltage of the battery. Why not? Take the battery somewhere that can do a load test. Have you ever added distilled water to the battery? Is it an AGM battery? Do you have a good motorcycle battery charger? The battery is fairly new, but it could be internally shorted, especially if you have NEVER performed any maintenance on it. Might be a defective battery. This is an opportunity for you to learn about batteries and how to maintain them, dude. Volts is volts… Even in India.
- My motorcycle won't start after i took off gas tank? Its a 95 honda shadow 1100. Cranks but won't start and when i turn the throttle while cranking it. The sound changes but still don't start
- I have a 1996 Honda Shadow ACE. It won't start even though the battery is charged. What can I do? I just got the battery charged and the bike still won't start. I can hear it trying but it just won't catch. I know very little about engines but could it be the fuel pump or carburetor that needs to be cleaned or replaced. If so, how do I do that?
- Have a 2003 Honda Rebel, won't start (no power) after it rained, I charged the battery, still nothing? Cold end is a little corroded but nothing serious, has been starting up before the rain. Suggestions? And it should be dry.
- Why won't my car won't start after putting in gas? I have a 2007 civic, 80,000 miles, about a year old battery. Yesterday after I filled up the gas tank my car wouldn't start. Waited about 1 minute and it started fine. This had happened about 4 months ago (I had it checked at Honda) and they said it was okay. But today I went a short distance (15 minutes from home left the car for about 5) and my car didn't want to start. What could it be?
