Cleaned carb - now it won't run?
1982 Honda Nighthawk 450
Cleaned the carb
Reassembled correctly
There's fuel in carbs
Air/fuel screw is turned the recommended 2 1/2 turns out
Turns over, but won't start
Any ideas?
You've got air, you've got fuel (supposedly).
Have you got spark to light it off?
A big vacuum leak would make it tough to start and idle (intake boot etc). Spray some starting ether in the intake and see if it will at least fire for a few seconds. That will tell you if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
- Motorcycle starts and revs but won't run? I have a 2004 honda rebel 250, and it has a little trouble starting but i can get it started. When i rev the engine though, it starts to sound a little off and the whole bike vibrates like crazy. If i let off the clutch the bike pulls a bit, but it doesn't move if i give it throttle, like the clutch is burned out (but I think the clutch is fine). Any suggestions as to what's wrong are highly appreciated.
- Honda CRF 150F won't run without choke? 2009 Honda CRF 150F dirtbike, after over an hour riding I still can't turn off the choke. The bike just bogs and shuts off. Will run on half choke.

- Cleaned carb - now bike won't start? I cleaned the carbs in my 1982 Honda Nighthawk 450 and now the bike won't start( though it will turnover). The red oil light also comes on while I'm not pressing the ignition.
