How to own a Honda CBR250RR back from the 90s in the USA?
I love this motorcycle so much, and this might sound crazy but I have a budget of 20K to get it over here. I would imagine that it would be as simple as flying over their and buying one then shipping it on a boat to a us port, fly back and wait for it to show up in the port. The problem is I don't know a single thing about shipping motorcycles across the pacific… I'm not even sure if theirs a company that does that. Would I have to Pirate it? But this is the price (real rough estimate)
round trip to Japan or Australia-$1,000-$2,000
buying the cbr250rr-$5,000
shipping it back-$?(this is the part I'm asking about)
It will probably not be released thru Customs unless it has a 'temporary- visiter' pass and you won't be able to register it here in the States.
The shipping costs vary from company to company but you can figure about $2,000 plus the necessary paperwork costs.
Best bet would be to contact a freight forwarder with international experience.
Sorry, any info I retained is now 20 years out of date.
What is your plan for the bike?
How are you going to title/register it?
Just going to ride it illegally until you get pulled over and it goes to the crusher?
Youll get a 90s cbr250rr here in aus for around $2000 Aus dollars, shipping around $2,500 - $3000, round trip to Australia is going to be more then $2000 your problems going to be registering it in USA and possibly as we don't and especially in the 90, s have as strict as emission standards, you won't find one with a catalytic converter, there may even be a problem getting it out of Aus as there are various import/export laws regarding vehicles. Why are there no cbr250rr's in the USA to begin with? They where quick for size and very popular - i presume the reason they weren't would be the same reason you will have trouble registering it their - most likely emissions.

- How come skyline can't be made in usa under infinity? I mean there's an Honda nsx under acura nsx in the us. There's Honda Euro that is not avaible in the us but they have an acura tsx replacement for it. Is it only a thing under honda and acura that can make it? I mean why couldn't infinity have made a us version of the r34 r33 r32 skyline GTR in the us? I know the GTR doesn't pass the US law that is why I'm asking why can't infinity make it like Honda and acura does with the nsx/ the honda euro/acura tsx
- Early 90s and 2000 hondas, nissan, or toyota for first car? I like the early 90s or early 2000 cars and I want either a honda, nissan, or a toyota, but I don't know which one to get. I want a 2 door car like a crx, mr2, or a 240 or anything like those, but I don't know which brand is better. what kind of japanese 90s or 2000s car would you recommend for a person normally drives alone but sometimes have 3 other passengers.
- 90s Toyota rav4 vs Honda crv? I'm looking for a casual off road vehicle, with decent gas mileage. Preferably 4 cylinder, and around $2000, which is why I'm not considering Jeep. I'm leaning towards a Rav4, is there a reason to consider something else?
