Is there any possibility of re-attaching my muffler?
Basically, while riding one day (2011 Honda CBR250R) my muffler just snapped off, but i was able to find it. Unfortunately it is pretty dinged up and some parts are cracked/bent. I attached three pics of the damage, and was wondering if i could possibly reattach it in anyway until i get a new one? The bolt to mount it is bent, the pipe a little cracked, and the other picture is where it snapped i guess, because it was connecting my exhaust pipe and it together Added (1). So looks like it won't allow me to upload more than one pic so i will attach the others in the answers
Stock / original exhaust systems don't tend to last that long in my experience. Only real way to fix it properly would be to get it welded. Either that, or if your link pipe is still intact and it's just the end bit (Muffler) that fell off, get an after-market slip on muffler / silencer and slide it onto the end of the link pipe and clamp it down. Just find out the outer diameter of the link pipe, right at the end, then you'll know what inner diameter slip on you'll need.
JB weld
Welding
Sure, just try and weld it on for now, then you could cut it off when you get a new one
- Mini bike engine runs full throttle, I believe there's a problem with the internal governor gear, any thoughts? It's a Honda g150 engine that's been sitting in a shed for over 35 years. I took off the carb and cleaned it out, the governor arm doesn't return back to idle, it just sits on full throttle. Runs fine minus that problem. Got it started yesterday and it took off I had to bail and it kept going right into my neighbors house lol.
- Is there any bank that i can get a motorcycle loan even though i have bad credit? Hi, i have bad credit (i'm 19 and i'm working on my credit) and i'm looking for a motorcycle to save miles and gas for my car and i just got declined on my credit unions and i'm hoping to see if there are lenders with decent rates for bad credit. I make 30k a year and i would love to get a honda shadow and yes, i'm licensed for motorcycle. And is motorcycle lender a legit site?
- Are there any automatic street bikes? I want to get into riding again. But I don't really want to have to shift to start off. I know of the the Honda VRF1200F but was wondering if there were any others. Or any bikes that have the dual clutch transmission, that would be nice to have so I could learn at my own pace but also have the automatic option. I want an attractive street bike, something along the lines of the Kawasaki Ninjas, and those bikes.
- I have a Honda 1.4 sport 1999 reg and the revs keep going high but there's little power - any ideas? When i first start it its ok but after 15-20 minutes it starts to over rev and the power seems to drop. Any ideas on what could be causing it?
