What do you do after you built a motorcycle part by part?

I'm planning on building a honda cb100 part by part, why? Well because a full bike is too hard to find in my state and are usuall found in the east i don't really want to deal with shipping it and trusting the seller, i just want to know what to do after i bought all my parts from ebay, salvage yards, friends, random people. How do i go about licensing it exactly, if its to much work please let me know. Its not technically a custom motorcycle but in a way i guess it is because i'm building it from scratch.

Licensing will depend upon the regulation in your particular state. Get in touch with the Department of Motor Vehicles or whatever it is called in your state and they should be able to advise you.
Good luck and you should know the bike inside and out by the time your finished putting it together and that will be of great benefit with it and all future bikes.
Enjoy the ride and ride with pride!

You sure know how to make a mechanic laugh their **** off first thing in the morning! Stick with hot rodding your bicycle little boy!

I'm sorry, but I see this going badly on quite a few levels. You say you are not mechanically inclined. Well, you need good mechanical ability to take on this project. I'm not saying it will be impossible for you, but you will need to buy some books on motorcycle repair and spend time learning techniques and procedures. You will also need many specialized tools. Not just pliers, sockets and screw drivers. I mean torque wrenches, impact drivers, and others. You also say you do not want to trust a seller, but are willing to trust several different sellers from e-bay, salvage yards, and my favorite, random people. Again, I'm sorry, but I do not see this going well for you. Oh, and I find it hard to believe there's not a bike for sale in your state.

The easiest way would be to buy a frame that has a clear title. You can transfer that title to you and then register it.
