What motorcycle should i get? - 1

So, i just got finished the endorsement class required for WA state. I want to buy a motorcycle, for around 2,000. I'm thinking a cruiser-thats what i rode in the class a suzuki 250. Any recommendations for a bike in my price range, 250cc or so, and i'm leaning toward a cruiser, although i had never ridden before the class.
Something along the lines of a honda rebel? Any advice? Also, i'm a bit nervousabout buying/test drivng one, i kind of want to practice some more-back roads etc, before taking to the street. If i were to buy at a shop, do places do delivery?

A 250 - 450 cc cruiser would be great as a first bike. A Honda Rebel is a good dependable small bike. Or even a Suzuki like you rode in class. I'm sure you could work a deal to have the bike delivered. Get as new a bike as you can afford even if you have to save for a while to get it.

Wide Honda Rebel 250 parallel twin, thin Suzuki GZ250 single or Yamaha V-Star (Virago) 250 V-twin. All about 330 pounds, all easy to ride, all capable of 75+ mph if you want to get onto the freeways.

  • You say do I need to keep the Bell helmet the renter wore when he slipped, and crashed my motorcycle? My motorcycle is the 2008? Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle. The Cofounder of Riders- Share.Com compensated me the full amount of the motorcycle repairer's written damage estimate. I was also fully compensated for the helmet, which the renter wore when he crashed my motorcycle and my helmet.
  • Which motorcycle should I get for a beginner? I'm planning on buying a motorcycle because I'm turning 16 soon and I need a vehicle to commute to and from school. Which bike is reliable for a starter? Honda CBR 125CC, Yamaha R125, Ninja Kawasaki 250R or other bikes? I'm also in a budget and looking for a bike around $2,000 and will not go over $2500. I'm also 5'11 and 155 LBS.
  • What size motorcycle should I get next? So I've had my Honda rebel for about 2 years now and am wanting to move up. First off I'm a very small woman, I'm 5 3" and weigh around 120 lbs. My boyfriend is worried I can't handle a big bike and I'm just looking for someone a bit more knowledgeable on the subject. He doesn't want me to get anything bigger, but I feel I'm ready. Any thoughts?
