What would be a good bike for me?
I'm 15, about 5 6-ish and 125lbs, so not very big. I'm wondering what kind of bike I should get, I want something with good speed and for it to be comfortable. I'm just starting out, so nothing insanely fast. My dad has a 99 ZX-11 which I like very much but it's far too much bike for me to start on. I can lift it off the kickstand fairly easily but I'm not really comfortable in doing so as it has a heavy weight of 600 ish lbs. What should I start on? I'm in to any types of bikes, Honda CB series, Ninja 250 s, Ducati Scramblers, etc. Recommend me something.
Yeah, you're on the right track. Suzuki bandit is a great starter bike. Lots of parts available.
Yamaha Virago 250
Buy used. Your first motorcycle is going to fall over once or twice.
Anything between 250cc and 350cc should be in your comfort zone.
General rule: your weight 125lbs+passenger rider weight= cc
So keep shopping for something you think suits your style read up on it (reviews) and find yourself one with an appropriate amount of power
- Which bike would be a good first sport bike. Looking at CBR1000/600's and also the yamaha R1/R6? I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best. I wish I could just ride all of them and see for myself. Tampa, FL Sam
- What would be the best bike for me a yahama yz, Honda cr, Suzuki rm or a Kawasaki kx I want 125cc? - I put 87 octane gas in my bike, can I use octane boost to correct the problems it's causing my bike? Last night I put 87 octane in my 2008 Honda Shadow 750. It started sputtering and stalled out on me twice last night. Can I use octane boost to make it run cleaner and better. Will that help fix the stalling problem as I have always run 93 octane and never had any problems?
- I'm buying a bike/scooter 125cc, what would be considered high or low mileage? I'm looking to purchase a Honda CBF, Honda CBR, Aprilla RS, Yamaha YBR or Yamaha YZF… Any recommendations? Anyway, to the main point! I was wondering what a high mileage for a 125cc scooter/motorbike would be? And how old of a mototbike I should get? I understand that it depends on how the person has looked after the bike etc however, what would be considered a high mileage, low mileage and medium mileage?
