Need advice about Nissan Maxima Car?

I'm in the market for a used car and have been looking at brands I've heard are reliable (Honda and Toyota). I came across a 2005 Nissan Maxima with 170k miles. It is really nice and has all of the features. My question is are Nissans good, reliable cars that could be compared to Honda or Toyota? Does anyone know how high their mileage can get before you start excpieriencing problems, like is 170k too much? I've read some reviews where people say the transmissions suck but others say they've never had a problem. I just don't have much excpieriencing with the brand so if anyone has any advice let me know!

Okay car. Not like T or H. 170K, might last you another 100K might blow up tomorrow. Who knows

  • I need some advice on a horse trailer situation? My dad has just bought a Honda CR-V. It can tow up to 2 tonnes. We're looking to buy a horse trailer but we're not sure about whether to get a single or double trailer. Could our car tow a double trailer with 2 15hh horses in it? Or if needs be, we would get a single one as we only have 1 horse anyway, but a double one would be more suitable but we don't mind.

I'm looking to buy a new car 0.0% financing and these are the only companies that offer 0.0% financing on new and old cars. ( i know honda civic is great but they offer 0.9% finance). I want a car that is a smooth ride, fuel effecient and car that will last me a long time. Overall, a good car. These are my top three cars NISSAN ALTIMA, TOYOTA CAMRY and NISSAN SENTRA? which one do you guys think is the best? i'm open to suggestions…
  • Opinions on which used car to buy. Acura TL, Nissan Maxima or Honda Accord coupe? I'm in the market to buy a used good car. Narrowed it down to the 04-08 Acura TL, 06-08 Nissan Maxima or 08-09 Accord Coupe. I know I can't go wrong with any one of them but I'm not 100% what common problems are associated with each car. I'm leaning towards the TL because of premium features as well as power and roomy interior. Second choice is the Maxima mostly based on body style and look as well as performance. Any help would greatly be appreciated
  • 2003 Nissan maxima SE or 2003 Acura TL type s? Sure the maxima has a legendary VQ35DE, but the type s has 260hp with the outstanding fuel efficiency and reliability of a Honda. Which one do you recommend? I'm stumped on which one to get to it
