NEED LOTS OF Help DECIDING FOR MY FIRST CAR?

Ever since I was little i was into cars, my father had a white honda s2000. He fixed it up with the most authentic racing parts possible; I helped him assemble it. In the end he found out that he put over $100,000 into it. It was my dream car, but he sold it and got a '93 nsx. Now I'm thinking about my first car. Normally I would just choose the s2000 automatically, but a few things are different. I want to become an engineer at honda like my dad. So I want to learn how to work on cars through experience as I learn it in the books in college. So I thought, "why not get a honda CRX? It's simple and cheap to work on." So I thought about the two for a while and over time I started to think about Many more cars and I can't decide anymore. Now to be clear; I don't want mustangs or 370z or even an FRS. I want my car to have handling and power+ quality and looks. I would stick to my original two. But i want to hear someone else's answer. Just to be sure. And it has to come in stick

Nothing wrong with that. They are a fun car to drive. Not super-car performance but good handling etc. You don't want a muscle car as your first wheels, you will probably kill yourself, Get a small but sporty car that you can learn to drive (properly) in. A Honda makes sense as your Dad probably has all the contacts for parts and knowledge in restoring and maintaining it.

Don't over think things. It's a good plan, go for it.

Personally I'm a Toyota fan, but have nothing against Hondas. I had a CRX years ago, and that little things was a serioulsy fun car on the winding back roads where I was living at the time.

Someone elses answer, someone who does not know you, is about as useless as any answer could be.
