Is this a reasonable divorce settlement?
Months ago I came on here asking for opinions of what I should get while divorcing my husband. ( to learn more about the situation read my other questions
I'm getting full ownership of our main residence which is 900,000
I'm getting our Honda Pilot and Mercedes E class vehicles
I'm also getting 6,250 in spousal support per month for the next 15 years
And 1,500 in child support per child until they are 18
And a 420,000 one time cash payout will be given to me
My question is do you think I will have to work because I would really prefer not to.
It depends. Is there a mortgage on your house or is it paid for in full? What are the taxes on it? You really should ask your CPA about this because all these things can have a big tax consequence, especially that big lump sum payout. Also, if you are used to living a lavish lifestyle, you may have to cut back. What is your monthly budget usually? Also, are you getting any pension money or half of a 401k, too? There are many possibilities - it's possible you won't have to work, but if all that money gets taxed away or spent on frivolities, then you could be in trouble. Ask your CPA and/or a financial consultant/estate planner. Your lawyer should have mentioned this to you.
Wow. That is a lot of money. You got more than you need.
You are getting 6250/month. There are families who survive with much less. Plus you are also getting 420,000 one time payment.
Unless you spend your money lavishly, probably you won't have to work.
What a con artist you are. A wh ore. He probably would have paid twice that if he had it just to get rid of you
It seems you does not need work.
Of course you won't have to work. It would interfere with your full-time trolling job.
Great story. Anyone who really receives this amount of money and a huge settlement, would know the answer. But nice try
I don't really care. But you should decide how you want to improve your life and your self. This will then determine if and where you work.
You aren't under immediate pressure to work, but you will eventually need to, or get out there and find another man.
You need to figure out what your real expenses will be.
You will have to pay property taxes on that house and it will be high.
Consider getting a financial planner and formulating a plan.
- Is $715 reasonable for my repair? Due to my tires wearing out faster than usual on my 97 Honda Prelude my mechanic is going to charge me $715 for a wheel alignment, replace my inner tie rods and installing adjustable ball joints. For the price of an wheel alignment is $80 and the ball joints they are ordering are around $100 apiece the inner tie rod price I'm not sure but I assume there about $30 each one. So I'm basically getting charged $400 in labor? Is this right?
- I need to find a part for my Honda ex1000 generator. I can't seem to find a part for a reasonable price or even the right part I have a Honda Generator and I need to buy a carburetor. I can find a lot of different ones online but I only find One for the Model I have. It is 80 bucks. I see a lot that look the same and I would like to know how to find one that is cheaper. I have looked for hours and can't find one that is cheap like the others. The part number is 16100-ZC0-015. Does anyone know how I can find a variety to choose from or do I need to get the honda brand carb?
- What would be a reasonable amount to offer below the sticker price of a Honda Civic sedan? In other words, if the sticker price is $21,000, what is the LEAST the dealer would be likely to accept?
- What's a reasonable price for a used 2010 Honda Accord? It's been in a few minor accidents but it's been fully repaired nonetheless. It has 30,000 miles. It has cruise control, automatic transmission, automatic locks and windows. It's red with a beige colored interior and fabric seats. The seats have hardly been sat on which makes them look fairly new. There aren't any stains or rips on the fabric either.
