Spare tyre on my 2002 Honda Jazz has four holes but the alloy wheels on the car have five nuts
The spare tyre on my 2002 Honda Jazz has four holes but the alloy wheels on the car have five nuts - help? - 1
Yes you have aftermarket wheels fitted. Take the wheel off and see if they have just fitted adaptor plates. Get a mechanic to help if you are not sure what you are looking at.
Do not wait until you have a flat tyre.
If so get a set of standard wheels and get it back to standard. It's not the original spare that should come with your Jazz. Doesn't need much to know what to do in your case: Buy the correct spare from your local salvage yard. The spare is one of the least acquiring items in a salvage yard.
My wife 2002 Jazz comes with a "Foldable" spare. How's that for a surprise? Welcome back to YA forum.
Next troll please. Buy a new one or get one from the breakers Ok it won't fit, you need another wheel Thanks for the answers; maybe i didn't explain myself properly - every tyre sizing website AND the owners handbook says that the honda jazz 1.4 2002 should have 4 hole wheels. Has someone modded my wheels? Thanks for the troll remark btw - but not all of us shot outa the womb knowing this stuff innately! I'm not familiar with how many lug nuts your model car is supposed to have from the factory. My guess is that it probably came with five lug nuts. So my next guess would be that the spare tire is something someone threw in there just to say the car has a spare.
My advice: Call the local dealership and ask them how many lug nuts your car is supposed to have. If they say it's supposed to have four lug nuts then the obvious conclusion would be that someone did a modification to the suspension. Perhaps they wanted the look of five nuts versus four.
One way or the other, your problem has an easy solution: Buy (from a junk yard) a rim and tire that match what's on your car. Get the correct spare tire. The spare is one of the least acquiring items in a salvage yard.

- Does a dual yoshimura exhaust have different sized holes just like on a stock CRF250R? I own a 2006 Honda CRF250R bike which has dual exhaust which comes stock on the bike. For the stock dual, the left exhaust has a slightly bigger hole than the right because of making even airflows. MY QUESTION IS: I want to buy a dual Yoshimura from motosport.com, i'm not sure if they have different sized holes just like stock. And if they don't, does it make a difference?
- Lost keys - does my car need an ELECTRONIC replacement key if i have a spare? The spare is all metal. There aren't any electronics in it and it can start and drive car. My car is a 2009 or 2010 honda civic.
- Best wheel locking nuts for expensive wheels? I thought locking nuts were all same but I heard people saying get some quality ones if you got expensive wheels, what do they mean by that? Which locking nuts are best? I have 1996 Honda Civic EK4 with BBS wheels.
- Are Honda and Toyota 8 holes flywheels spaced the same between the holes? Both cars are 4 cyl. I know some car makers share the same pattern distance at the wheel hubs (rims) like 100mm X 4. Honda, toyota and others share the same specs on the rims. I wonder if the same applies for the flywheel. I'm basing my suspicion on the fact that the size of the mounting part on the crankshaft is almost the same size on those engines.
