What is the lifetime of a honda? - 1
30 years.
It depends on how it's looked after.
It depends.
Some hondas last 30 years or longer. But not all of them. It depends how its maintained, how its driven, etc.
It varies. What do you actually want to know?
How long is a piece of string…
Mine is 2003 CRV with 240,000+ miles still going strong with a insignificant number of repairs
It depends on how well it's taken care of, how willing the owner is to continue to pay for repair and maintenance, etc. As long as it's maintained and parts are replaced when needed it can keep going.
I had a 2000 Accord Coupe until 2013 and sold it with nearly 250,000 miles. It never left me stranded and, only towards the end did it not start one morning. In that time I did maintenance and repair on it, but nothing out of the ordinary given the environment in which I live, and considerably less than other cars I'd owned until then. I only sold it as I needed to be sure to have something reliable and the continued maintenance was getting more consistent and expensive (the oil seals needed replaced for one). So I sold it to a guy who could fix it himself. He is still driving it.
Maintenance and driving style determines the life of any car. Hondas are well built and should last 200k miles, if properly maintained.
Simple, as long as it is maintained it will last a long time. Like any machine things will wear out and need replacement and service. Usually timing belts and water pumps need to replaced every 60,000miles on Honda. That's all really, keep fluids topped off and oil change every 3,000 miles.
As most people have been answering:
Hondas are built simply for longevity and low cost of maintenance.
I have seen many with 250k +. I recently saw a 94 Civic for sale with 360k and an 07 Fit with 300k. Both vehicles where meticulously maintained and running very well.
Honda + Scheduled maintenance and repairs as outlined by owners manual = An excellent car for a very, very, very long time.
- Would a Lifetime Warranty influence your car buying decision? I'm debating between a 2017 Honda Pilot and 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Pilot costs $28K but comes with a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty (several Honda dealers offer this) while Santa Fe costs $25K but just 10year/100k miles warranty. So do you think its worth paying $3k more for a Pilot especially since it comes with a Lifetime Warranty? I mean the warranty probably is worth $3k alone?
- Will Honda Prelude struts fit a Honda Accord? I have a 1999 Honda accord ex V6 sedan. has stock 15 inch wheels, but will have 17 inch 2006 Acura TL wheels on it soon this will raise my ride height, so instead of spending 1000$ on coilovers, I was wondering if the struts of a 1997 Prelude would fit my car. Any suggestions as to if this might work? Any feedback will be appreciated.
- What's different about the Canadian Honda Civic vs the American Honda civic? Are they the same? Or are they different in both countries? Please give me details and I'm talking about a 2004 civic coupe
- Does a 4 door honda civic si cost more on insurance than a honda civic lx/ex/? I'm looking to buy a used 2010 honda civic si. I've had 4 other cars insured in the past. My insurance is progressive. I've done quotes on several years of the honda civic 4 door and they seem to be in my favor however, the quote doesn't ask for the trim of the vehicle. When i put my vin in will my premium go up? Sorry i'm bad at asking question if that doesn't make sense
