What types of Japanese cars would you recommend?

I'm buying a new car and need help finding the ideal model. I love the style of Japanese cars and am looking for something that fits into the following range of cars:

Honda Prelude
Honda S2000
Mazda RX7
Mazda RX8
Mitsubishi FTO
Mitsubishi Eclipse
Nissan 350Z
Nissan 370Z
Nissan Skyline
Toyota Celica
Toyota MR2
Toyota Supra

Insurance and running costs need to be factored in as I'm young and living in a bad area but I'm just looking for ideas on what car would be suitable. It's time for the Prelude to go. Although I'm thinking about just upgrading to a nicer and tidier Prelude. It's a struggle ti find the perfect model! Any help would be appreciated…

The Honda S2000 is a great car to drive, with the RX8 you will have to look carefully at the service history as you need to top it up with oil fairly regularly among other things.
The 350Z is also a great car.

Toyota

So you're looking for a Japanese roadster and it doesn't look like you care if it. A hardtop or a convertible.

The two that come to mind that are not on your list are the Infiniti G35/37 and the Hyundai Genesis coupe. Yeah, I know the Genesis is South Korean and not Japanese but it's still Asian and it's a very good car.

Some of your cars like the Eclipse, MR2, Supra and the Prelude are too old and it would be very difficult to find one that isn't already worn out. The last Supra they produced was 13 years ago. The Skyline and Mitsu FTO were never imported into the US so finding one of those is also extremely difficult.

Realistically your list should look like this.

Honda S2000
Mazda RX8
Mazda Miata
Infiniti G coupe
Nissan Z
Scion FR-S/Subaru BR-Z
Hyundai Genesis coupe

Your "list" includes cars ranging from $3000 (used, not made in years) to over $100K.

Quite a range there.

Celica = unbeatable

  • Your favorite types of cars? I've always been into Japanese or JDM cars. Although I can't stand Hondas (or other cars) with non-performance oriented, economy engines that have coffee cup exhausts. They sound way too raspy. I like deep sounding exhausts on four-bangers and even V6s (of course V8s as well.) But yes, for the most part I like Japanese performance cars. My all time favourite has to be the Nissan 300ZX. What about you? (sorry if I offended anyone)
  • What would you do if a lady around 30-37 told you that you were useless and would never amount to anything? She's a well dressed white lady with a brand new Honda SUV and she has a daughter that looks about 12 that is also well dressed and the girl is being rude and both are being very rude to the guy at the counter at Subway. Would it be wrong to curse out the old witch who tried to start a fight and cursed out the subway worker and you?
  • What car would you recommend? - New (2014/2015/2016) - Preferably 4- cylinder - Pretty/ Stylish - Not one that you buy & in like three weeks it breaks down (hyundai/honda/dodge) - Runs good - Economical
  • Which SUV would you recommend for a family of 4? This is for a family of 4 with 2 children ages 1 & 3. 1. Nissan Pathfinder 2. Honda Pilot 3. Nissan Murano 4. Toyota Highlander 5. Honda CR-V 6. Hyundai Santa Fe 7. Mazda CX-9 Which would you highly recommend and why?
