Why is my Honda GCV160 pressure washer not receiving fuel?

So I just purchased a Honda GCV160 from Craigslist and I can't get it to start. I took off the carb twice, disassembled it and cleaned it. I replaced the gaskets on both sides of the carb as well. I reinstalled everything properly. The carb is getting fuel from the reservoir, and the fuel line is on. The spark plug is sparking. The engine has compression. If I pour fuel into the spark plug, or spray starting fluid into the carb the engine will run for a second off of the fuel I provided to it. After removing the top cover and trying to turn to motor over with an electric drill it will not start. In addition, the spark plug is not wet with fuel from trying to start the machine, it just smells like starting fluid. So my machine is not receiving fuel from the carb. How can I fix this?

Sounds like the main jet is blocked. Did you check it?

  • 2006 Honda Odyssey windshield washer fluid not spraying? Sprayers are not spraying in the front or the rear. One pump runs both ends. I can hear the pump kick on. Pulled a hose off one side of the pump and had someone activate the pump. Pump sprays without the hose hooked up. I don't see any krimped areas in the hose that I can see (front sprayers). Any ideas? Could the pump just be too week to spray through the hoses? Ps I unplugged a hose under the hood and still no fluid.

I'm in the process of removing the air filter housing and i realize that one screw and washer are rusted together, not even budging. Because of this, i have in turn tried everything to get it out and it is stripped. Why honda put screws in a housing is beyond me. All of them are rusted. This one is just horrible. Tips? I do not want to drill it because i do not want to damage my housing.
