Why won't my 89honda vtr 250 start?

I bought a non running 1989 honda vtr 250 for cheap, wasn't getting a spark checked every thing like spark, ignition coils fuses, battery than, finally found out the cdi was fried. I replaced the stator rectifier and cdi and it still Will Not start. What could still be the problem please help get this thing to start.

Check for gas intake feeding the injectors.

Little back-up question- Is there still no spark? Or will it just not start?

Old enough bike that things happen (usually not the good ones) so my best guess is that if it has good spark than the fuel may be the problem, a good thorough carb-clean is not a bad idea.

If no spark than a faulty ground wire/connection could be it.

The battery was bad so I had to use a bigger battery from my dad's motorcycle and it would crank stron but still nothing. We took out the spark plug and put it in the wire and held it near frame and no spark at all while cranking, could it be a bad ignition coil, rectifier, or stator or what?

I have a 85 honda 250 cc rebel i was just driving it today and just two hours later i went to take it out again and the engine wouldnt start i heard it spark over about 8 times then silence it sparked but didn't turn over at all i made sure all the switches were in place the kickstand was up and the bike was in neutral i let it sit for a while then went backed and tried again and same thing i heard it spark but not turn over and then silence after that i need help please
  • My 1983 Honda nighthawk 650 won't start with the electric start? I recently replaced the ignition coils because the old ones were getting heat soaked and the bike would die, however now the bike won't start with the electric start it turns over fin and the starter sounds fine but it won't start occasionally it ll start when it's cold or try to but I've been having to bump start it in order to ride it. So what's making it do this? Could it be the kill switch? Or something else?
