Does it have separate coils? Swap two of them & see if the problem moves also…

Maybe one of the valves on that cylinder has a faulty bonnet seal. Oil is leaking by into the cylinder and fouling the spark plug.

What is it being fouled with? Is it oil? Then you may have a problem with a valve seal or with the piston and its oil control ring.

If it's not oil, it's going to be an ignition problem. Is it the right plug, correctly gapped? Is the plug lead okay? Is it a coil issue? Those are the issues you should be considering.

It is a gas engine with 4 spark plugs. One plug CAN die. So, buy another spark plug and try it OR IF YOU CAN'T GET TO A STORE RIGHT AWAY, While the Engine is cold, take out another spark plug out of another cylinder and SWAP WITH #1 & drive for a bit and then when engine cools off take off #1 plug and inspect. If fine then check the plug you switched with and if that is carboned up then it is the PLUG. Replace 1 plug.
. If #1 is fouled up again, then there's no spark getting to the plug(for some reason) Work your way backwards to figure out what is the problem. First the spark plug wire. Then Look inside Distributor cap at #1 terminal post. You should find the problem using your eyes.
