4 months drive up 6,000 miles ( new car 2014 )?
I bought my car honda 2014 in month of May and now September which is 4
months and my car has been drove 6,000 miles so far, is that normal drive, or too much?
18K a year is over average, but you buy a car to take you where you want to go, correct? I drive about the same amount as you - it's not too much, that's what I bought it for.
An "average" number of miles for a car is about 12,000-15,000 miles a year, or about 1000-1250 miles per month. In your case, you have driven 1500 mile per month, a bit higher than "average." But it's not unusual to drive a brand new car more in the first months than later on when the newness and fun has worn off.
It is normal because you've only had it for 4 months.
- Vehicle I drive is a 2007 Honda Element that just turned 64,000 miles. I'm rigorous about keeping up on maintaining it People constantly approach me and ask if I want to sell it because the body and interior are in great condition as are all the internal workings and suspension. Even though Honda does not require synthetic motor oil I use Valvoline full synthetic and change it every 4,000 miles with a new factory filter. My question is how long will my engine last?
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
- If I don't service my new car for first 100,000 miles will it break down? Will just do synthetic oil changes every 15,000 miles + oil filter and air filter every 30,000 miles. No other services. Will my Honda last that long without any problems?
- 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000? Is this a good deal? I need to buy a new car and today I got an offer on a 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000. I'm a 19 year old girl and I know nothing about cars D: Are Honda Fits good cars? Should I buy this with so many miles already on it? Also, I like to travel. Will this car be safe to drive long distances?
