1997 Honda Accord ES tempiture gauge not reading correct temp, what i need to check?
Already replaced thermostat.
Used correct 50/50 mix coolant.
As engine warms up the fans kick on and off properly. Just gauge is reading below operating temp. I drove around and gauge still only reads about 1/3 of the gauge, which is below operating temp. I know the engine is up to temp because fans are operating fine. Just need to know which sensor i need and location of it to replace to get correct reading.
You need to replace the temperature switch.TU188 is the part number to look up on Autozone.com The sensor is usually mounted in the intake manifold, engine block,
or sometimes the thermostat housing. It usually has a one wire harness attached but sometimes has two wires.Don't confuse this for the ect sensor because the ect sends info to the computer rather than the temperature gauge.Use electrically conductive sealant on the threads to prevent leaks and to allow the sensor to be grounded properly
- Correct Oil sight window correct level on motorcycle? I have a Honda cbr600rr 2014 and I use hp4s oil 3 quarters. I changed my oil for the first time this spring and I never checked the oil after the first two days for leaks and so on and today I saw through the window that the oil is in the middle and was all the way on the top. No leaks no bad color no nothing. Am I burning oil or am I low. I will attach a picture. Thank you
- Honda cb500 1994 temp. Gauge, and oil indicator does not work? Hey guys just got my first honda and of course it's great and i'm loving it, but i have a small issue with the temp gauge. It seems not to work, even when the fan turns on it does not seem to even get up from the bottom. So any ideas what and where i should try fixing? One more thing is that the oil indicator does not light up at the start, any ideas why? The lamp is ok I've checked it already
- Why could my 2000 Honda Civic show it's going to overheat I have coolant a new radiator a new radiator cap a new temp gauge switch and? A new thermostat head gasket is fine could it just need to flushed and a new water pump and timing belt
- After changing the air filter in my car, the MPG reading dropped significantly? Last month I changed the air filter in my car because the old one was dirty. However, I immediately noticed a drop in the average miles per gallon-- it dropped by 6 (from 43mpg to 38 mpg). This seems large considering my driving habits have not changed. I still commute on the same route, at the same speed. Is this normal after replacing the air filter? The old one was dirty and needed replacement. If it matters, my car is a Honda Civic sport, 2006/7.
