2001 honda accord ex 6 cyl sometimes does not start?

The car starts fine when I go to work early morning but sometimes when I try to go home later in the afternoon it will not start. No turn over or anything. Radio and lights will come on. Seems to do it more often when it is hotter outside. It is not the battery. The car does have 190k miles on it. Check engine light is not on.

Please use Crank instead of no turn over. If your car won't Crank the first thing to do is make sure the Battery Teminals are clean and Tight. Turn the Headlights on to see if they're Bright. If another person was there look at the headlights when you try to start it. If they go out you have a loose connection somewhere. The Ground would be suspect if the Battery Terminals are good. If nothing happens you have an Open Circuit to the Starter. Your car should have a Starter Relay it is suspect now. Swap it out with another with the same number. The signal for that relay comes from the Ignition Switch.

Have the battery and the starter checked. The lights may work with a battery too low to start. Have the alternator checked.

Replace the main (pgmfi) relay.

If it's an automatic you need to test the trigger wire on the starter solenoid when it doesn't start to see if their is 12 volts present with the key turned to the start position.
If you have power there replace the starter.
If no power there start at the ignition switch to make sure you have power on the trigger wire. If ok you need to test the neutral safety switch circuit.
