Can you put premium gas in a 2017 Honda Accord LX?
So my Honda Accord 2017 LX takes regular gas, but some people, including the car salesman are telling me that I can really put whatever gas I wish.
I heard that adding premium is better for your engine?
Also if I were to add premium, is it better to have to fill up once I'm completely empty or can I still add premium gas when a bit of regular gas is already in the tank? Will there be trouble if I mixed up the gas?
Of course you can. It's possible to do it. So you can.
There's no advantage to using premium if the car is designed to run on regular. You may even get slightly worse fuel mileage, and definitely will be paying more
You can put premium in if you wish, but it is a waste to do so
Yes, you can dump the gas on the ground and waste even more money or you could just throw the money out the window and save the gas. Use Regular, it will be fine no matter what people SAY. I had a Tacoma for 11 years on regular and my brother has had it another 3 on regular. Engine is fine.
- Why did ExxonMobil premium fuel drop the performance on my '12 Honda Civic Si? My car has had a very significant drop in performance due to use of ExxonMobil 91 fuel. Why would this happen?
- What happens if you put premium 2-cycle oil in your car? I have a 1993 Honda civic and I was changing my oil and I grabbed the wrong oil and I put 2-cycle oil in my car. Will it be ok? If not, what should I do?!
- I'm looking to buy a 2017 or maybe a 2018 Honda. I can't find the dimensions of the car anywhere. Where can I find them? I'm considering an Accord EX or Civic EX. The manufacturer's booklet does not have it. I called the Honda national Customer Service and they do not have a clue. I could not find anything on line. I want to compare them to each other and what I have now. I still have the manufacturer's brochures for my current cars WITH the dimensions and specs. Disappointing.
- Anyone has a 2018 Honda Accord LX what type of gas do I put in it? Regular? Plus? Premium? I just bought it and forgot to ask? They gave it to me with a full tank, it's been 5 days and it's still not even near down half tank yet, which is awesome. But I still don't know what to put in it or how to do it. The tank opening inside has 2 flappy lips that can be pushed in or whatever not like a lid. I think I can figure that out, but I figured why not still ask experts.
