How can i found out if my car battery have warranty? It a 2005 Honda accord hybrid?
How can i found out if my car battery have warranty? It a 2005 Honda accord hybrid?
Ask the dealer service department
A) Grammar lesson: It should be "How can I FIND out?"
b) The date of manufacture and length of warranty should be located on a sticker on top of the battery.
c) The make, model and year of your vehicle is irrelevant.
I presume you are talking about the hybrid battery bank. Honda had a very bad time with those around 2005. It is an incredibly complex subject, involving software changes, lawsuits, and many more circuses.
I strongly recommend you join at least one forum for Honda, and preferably Honda hybrid, owners. The Civic Hybrid was much more prominent but I'm sure you will find people who have been down this road before. Best of luck.
I'd start with my Honda dealership but you are talking about an up to 14 year old car, I'd be dubious Honda is going to pay much of the new battery cost.
Firstly. Go online and ask strangers.
If it's a replacement it may have a sticker on it with install date and dealer
Most warranties have a time limit and that car is over 10 years old. I'm not betting that the warranty is still good.
Honestly, you have to talk to HONDA DEALERSHIP ABOUT THAT. If any deal is worked out with the battery company it would be THRU Honda. Hybrid is the new car on the block. However, at most you got a 10yr battery. I had that in my 2007 and that was worth the weight of the lead as Batteries "Do wear out" I never heard of a 13 year old battery. Then again, 10 was new to me too. I'm used to 5 year replacement intervals.
- I bought a car from Tony Honda of Hawaii and I found out this year that it won't pass inspection when I took it in? The Rims stick out past the wheel well and and that wouldn t allow a pass. So it doesn't have any recon stickers and somehow they got it to pass. What can I do, do I need to speak to legal on the navy base. Can they take this car back? They never told me about this tuff and they don't exactly have paper work for it either. Somehow they made it pass the first time
- Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery? I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
- My car stereo stopped working when i took out the battery on my honda civic hybrid 2005? I got honda civic hybrid 2005. It got Gathers head deck with rear camera display in it. I took the battery out for some reason n wen i put it back the stereo stopped working. Itsonly showin ' eject cd' and ' open/close' . Can somebody help me out please. Cheers
- How to drive a honda civic hybrid car with out hybrid battery? Bought a car about 4 months ago and the battery is now dead. I check to make sure its not the normal battery and Auto Zone said it was fine. I'm sure its the hybrid battery but i don't have the money to pay 1,000 or more for a battery on a car i just spent money on. Is there a way you can drive this car without the hybrid battery? Or dose anyone know a place to get these batteries cheaper?
