I have a 2006 Honda Accord - 4 cylinder with 130,000 miles. When should I change the timing belt on it?
And should anything else be changed at the same time as the timing belt while it is being replaced?
If its truly a 2006 Honda Accord with the I4, it has a timing chain with self adjusting cams so their is no belt to be changed. Happy motoring…
Arent they every 90K? See when your last one was. If you don't know. Then its not expensive. The best pricing i ever saw was right out of dealer parts. They can get you the seals, pump, belt as required. When i went there they even were able to show me a need for update in the procedure and saved me some trouble isolating the balance shaft.
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well

- I have a 2000 Honda Civic with 140,000 miles on it. Do you think the timing belt has been changed? I read somewhere that they are supposed to be changed at 105,000 miles, or seven years. My car has a lot more miles than that, and twice the age. Do you think the belt has been changed before? Or is it possible it's the original belt? Would the original have lasted this long?
- 4 cylinder vs 6 cylinder vs 8 cylinder vs 10 cylinder? Which is better to get? On small sized cars such as Honda Civic, Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Corolla you're stuck with 4 cylinder, since 6-cylinder is not available as the option What if I get v8 or v10 vehicles… Is there any problems?
