Locked key in trunk, but have my title. Can I get a new key?
I have a Honda Accord 2013 Sport. I locked my only key in the trunk. I have my car title and probably my insurance card (had a duplicate). Would they make me a key? How much would they charge?
Or, should I just get a locksmith? I eventually need a spare key, so I thought that was a great idea. I called Honda asking what I should do and they told me to get a locksmith. They didn't even mention that they could make me a spare.
They will be able to make a new key, but you will need the key to get a new key made, so that is out of the question if its locked in your car. It will cost around $60-$120 aprox. Depending on the dealer and stock of the key. Calling a locksmith would be a good idea, but do the back seats fold down so you can get into your trunk? If they do, then just do that (i would assume that they wouldnt or you wouldnt have called Honda)
Get a big easy and unlock your car. If you don't have a trunk release button, the back seat probably folds down and you can retrieve the key. Then make your first stop a place that can duplicate your key.
A locksmith can come to your house or wherever you are stranded. You'd probably need transportation to a dealer.
- How to title a motorbike that has no title or bill of sale? I have a Honda CT70 that was purchased at an auction many years ago. I do not have a bill of sale and the bike was never titled because it was never street legal. I would like to restore it and get it titled to ride around town. Any help is appreciated. They are telling me that with installation, it will be like $300 at least, My friend just had the same problem, but in an much older pick up, but she said they just replaced a small part where they ket goes in?
- HONDA PCX IGNITION KEY SHUTTER LOCKED OUT? I accidentally closed the shutter of my honda pcx 150. I don't have anymore the original key I lost last month. I tried with the copy key may times but of course the magnets were not placed at all in the blank key. i have called also HONDA and they told me to call AAA or a locksmith. The locksmiths i have called they say no we can't do that. What are my options?
