Low cost upgrade for 2005 scion xa audio system?
I just bought a 2005 toyota scion xa and the stereo is horrible. No base whatsoever and doesn't go loud at all. I'm looking for a low cost way to upgrade the audio. I don't need anything fancy I just want something half decent. My last car was a 2003 honda accord lx and the stereo in that was just fine for my taste, if that gives any clarity as to what I'm looking for. Hoping to spend less than 200. Any suggestions?

A 10year old car PROBABLY has trashed stock speakers.
You should look into getting a decent pair up front.
New rears would be good too, but they don't need to be the same quality.
That should give you a nice improvement temporarily.
Later on - if you want to make a significant improvement you can add a good sized 4 ch amp and a small (10"?) subwoofer. Use two channels of the amp to power the front speakers and the other two would be bridged to run the sub.
- What's the most reliable low-cost car I can buy in the 2-4k pricerange? So, after several horrific car experiences with repairs and maintenance I simply couldnt afford to keep up with, I'm seeking suggestions for the most reliable car I can get in my price range of $2,000-$4,000 dollars. My initial thoughts were maybe A late 90s early 00s Honda with around 100k (or less?).
- Newer Honda Civic idle low/uneven - would fuel system cleaner All of a sudden I keep noticing that the idle on my Civic is low or uneven and it seems like it might stall out sometimes. I'm wondering what different things it could be and could it possibly help to use on of those additives that supposedly clean the fuel system.
- How much to install an audio system in my car? My car is a 2001 Honda Civic DX Coupe. I want to replace the stereo and also get subs and an amp. I may also need a sub box. Also, I'm new to audio systems and subs so I'm not sure if I should get a pair of 10's, 12's or just a single 15. My budget is around $250-$350 if that's possible. What would you guys recommend?
