Must the 'Check Engine' light remain on for Honda Accord 1997 model?
If the check engine light remains on there's a problem that needs to be repaired.
No, Take it to an Advance Auto Parts and have them run a check engine light diagnosis on it. Its free and it'll tell you your problem that you will choose to either fix or completely ignore…
No. It ought to be off once engine is running. Its illumination indicates we have an ongoing issue needing attention.
get scan codes run at minimum or better still have a garage sort fault for you.
See what code it's running my 98 civic EX is at 900K miles and no lights are on what so ever, well except seatbelt light when i'm driving.
- Check engine light, open door light, and batterie light all came on and won't go off? 2000 Honda Odyssey I already had the altinator replaced it a month old. The batterie almost a year old. Would the belt need be changed or something else?
- My check engine light was flashing yesterday and now it's off, and today my red oil change light was flashing earlier and then stopped? What does that mean? I drive a Honda Accord, if that helps. My car is driving fine (just a slight jerking every now and then, but that's another issue i'll get fixed). The fact that it did that then stopped worries me… Help?!
- IMA and Check Engine light on in 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid? I was driving for a good 30 minutes and then the IMA and Check Engine warning lights came on. When I got home I shut off my car and turned it back on and the IMA light was gone but the Check Engine light is still on.
- Check engine light on after adding #91 gas to a 05 honda accord? I normally just use #87, under which my car runs pretty good. However to see the difference of premium gas i added about 10 gallons #91 mixing with 5 gallons of #87 which was originally in the tank to my car. After few minutes of driving check engine light was on. Could #91 gas caused it? What should I do?
