My check battery and oil light came on red. Then turned off?

When I was leaving out when I turn my car on the oil and Battery lights were on red and my car wouldn't move.

then I turned it off and restarted it and then the lights went away and then I turned it off and restarted again and the same thing the lights were gone. What does that mean?

I have a Honda Accord.

Maybe it failed to start or a glitch.

It means that the first time your engine stalled, dipstick. That's why it wouldn't move and why the warning lights were on.

Your car just stalled. Nothing wrong with your car. Cars will do that when the engine is cold.

When the engine is not turning, the parts powered by the engine aren't getting any energy to do their job. That means the alternator doesn't generate electricity, and the oil pump inside the engine doesn't circulate oil. Either of those would be bad when the motor is running, hence the warning lights.

If it turned off, then what's the problem?

Have you bothered to check the oil level? Or had the battery checked? That is what those lights tell me.

I think you should still get it looked at just in case.

You have a battery light? High end vehicle there. Take it to a shop & have them look. All I have on mine is a oil light & heat gage.

When the ignition is ON, but the engine NOT RUNNING, then there's NO OIL PRESSURE and the CHARGING SYSTEM is not charging. So the OIL light comes on and the BATTERY light comes on.

When you start the engine, the oil pump turns and there's oil pressure. The OIL light turns off.

When you start the engine, the alternator turns and the charging system operates. The BATTERY light goes off.

You need some very BASIC car usage instruction, because if one of your gauges indicates a problem, you won't understand what it means, and you may injure your engine.

Hi so when you insert the key and turn the system on. The electronic control system does a quick check which usually means all the indicator lights come on briefly. When they go off it has done it's check. So was that the issue.
