ON A 1998 HONDA ACCORD WHICH FAN IS THE AC FAN AND WHICH IS THE RADIATOR FAN? - 1

The A/C fan is in the dashboard. It blows cold air into the cabin. The radiator fan is under the hood, out in front of the radiator. It blows air through the radiator to cool the engine.

Your AC fan, better and properly known as a blower motor, is housed behind your dashboard. Your cooling fan is on the front of the engine block.

The AC fan is inside the car cabin (blower) and the radiator fan is on the radiator and also cools the ac condenser. If there are two fans, watch them operate with the ac off and with the ac on. The one that turns on with the ac is the condensor fan. You also can see which one is controlled by the different fan relays- main radiator fan relay and number 2 fan relay ( also for ac condenser )

The condenser fan is on the left of the engine if you are standing in front of the car. Confirm by running the engine until warm (best after a long drive) and turning the AC on and off. One fan will turn off/on as the AC is turned off/on. That will be the condenser fan. There will sometimes be a delay of about 5 seconds before it turns off.

Start the engine when its cold, and turn on the a/c, get out and look at the fans on the radiator to see which one is on. That will tell you which one is for the a/c
