You need to go to a transmission shop, this isn't a DIY project unless you are a mechanic.
Replacing the shift cable of your vehicle calls for 1.5 hours of labor time and involves removing your exhaust system. It is something that a do-it-yourselfer could definitely do if hey have the right tools. If you plan to tackle this job you will most likely need to raise the vehicle and support it with jack stands. To do this safely, please follow the safe lifting guide at http://www.floorjackadvisor.com/safe-lifting.

- I have a 2015 Honda rancher that had a crack in the air box. It got so much dirt through the air filter it got into my piston. So it now Burns oil and I was wonder will it ever stop smoking. I know I have to rebuild the engin so don't even say it. And how long will it take before it losses power.
- My car's shifter keeps popping out of gear? 1993 Honda Civic My car has recently been pooping out of gear. I think it's the shifter, It goes into gear and then it pops out. It feels like it's slowly getting pushed out. I got a new trans a year ago. Any ideas?
- My Car got rear ended - Will an auto body shop be able to fix it how it was? I've had a 2014 honda civic ex coupe for just 3 months and It was rear ended then hit on the back side of the driver side just behind the door and has a big dent with paint that came off and some from the other car. On the back of the car the bumper fell off but it doesn't seem like the damage was too bad. If I take it to the auto body shop would they be able to fix it so that the damage becomes completely unnoticeable?
