What type of code reader do i need for my 93 honda accord ex?

The obd2 don't for my car since it says it works for 1996 models and up and i need to know so i can see why my brake and abs light is on my dash everytime i drive

Units designed for OBD1

If you have a Check Connector it will be under he passenger side kick panel, you put a jumper wire in it. But OBD1 will probably not have any ABS codes, it's very primitive. Check your Brake Fluid and ABS Controller under the hood, The Wheel Sensors are under the car, you may be able to see the front one by turning the wheel. But the rears are harder to check.

A code reader won't work for ABS codes. You need a Mechanics scan tool to pull ABS codes.
It's probably a front wheel speed sensor that's bad.

You don't need a code reader- just a jump wire.

What BAX said (again).

  • Everything i need to know about Honda integra type r DC5's? I was planning on getting one, i'm inlove with them, i know quite a fair bit about them considering i'm a girl. But i'm interested in knowing more about them and other people's opinions, thanks
  • Nissan Toyota or jeep? Off reader and family hauler? I need a bigger vehicle, at the moment I have a 2 door Honda Civic and need 4 doors, ability to carry 5 people including my 3 year old son. And occasional off road. I had a tj 2doot wrangler before and loved it so I'm thinking a jku 4 door wrangler, Toyota 4 runner or Nissan Xterra. Gas milage isn't a concern as much as safety and reliability. Don't want to be in the shop a lot but want a good reliable vehicle that will last years And is fun to drive.
  • Honda fans! I need to know the year and model type of this Honda? I know it's a Honda Civic Sedan. What's the year and model title? I'm guessing a 2000 Honda Civic Sedan?
  • What part number do I need for error code 71-10 seat position sensor? I drive a 2005 Honda Accord and the airbag light turns on intermittently. I took it to the dealer and they ran a diagnostic test and told me the drivers side seat position sensor is bad. The error code they got was 71-10. I've had bad luck trying to find the part online. Does anyone know the part number so I can order it and fix it myself? Honda is asking for $1400 and I'm sure I can do it for less if I can just find the part.
