Which car would you buy? 94 Celica or 99 Accord?

Okay, these cars are both in pretty much equal (great) condition, same mileage at 155k, and same price, both at $2500ish.
The 1994 Toyota Celica ST Coupe and the 1999 Honda Accord V6 Sedan.

Based on your knowledge of these two cars, which one would you pick? I can't decide.

99 accord. Only driven the accord but my word was it good fun! Honda make fantastic cars which will last for ages and give you a thrill every time you push the gas pedal. And admit it, you'd rather tell your friends you have a honda rather than a toyota right?

The Honda will last you longer. Plus you can find parts for them practically anywhere.

It depends if I'm getting the car for myself or my family. If you need a bigger car, go for the accord sedan but keep in mind that it's a V-6 so it will consume more gasoline. But if you're getting a car for yourself, go for the celica coupe. It's smaller, has 4 cylinders which will consume less gasoline which will save you money. Hondas engine are usually vtec and they are very reliable. I have friends getting Hondas till 300,000 miles and their car runs like a breeze. On the other hand, toyota's engine are usually vvti engines which are also very reliable. But it is up to you if you need a bigger car or a small car. Also, the 1999 accord lx has about 200hp from that 3.0L V-6 engine while 1994 celica st coupe has a 1.8L 4 cylinder engine producing about 110hp. If you crave more power and newer model, go with the honda accord. But if you want to save money, go with the celica but know that it's 5 years older than the accord so it's engine might need some work in near future. For me, I would pick the honda accord since I crave power in a car and plus it's a sedan which means I can fit my family in it too. Best of luck.
