Why is my car dying 290k miles?

2002 honda accord engine kills at stops signs red lights… Everytime i stop. Also There's a roar sometimes when i accelerate (i don't know)
My mechanic says it hust needs a new fuel pump but… Any suggestions

Sure. Buy an English grammar book and a pamphlet to practice writing sentences correctly to include punctuation. Then, while the mechanic is "hust" installing the fuel pump you can practice. This is very bad English from the "honda accord" to the use of ellipsis… To the bad spelling to the lack of punctuation. A nightmare, really, as to grammar.

If the motor runs fine but just doesn't idle it's not the fuel pump. The idle control needs to be checked out. If the IAC motor is bad it can also ruin the computer so have it fixed soon.

You've already talked to a REAL, LIVE MECHANIC… Why would you need input from the peanut gallery here? If you don't want to maintain your car properly, then just drive it to the nearest junk yard and hand them the title.

  • Will buying a newer mower solve my issue with dying while cutting thicker grass? I have an older 6.5 hp Toro and it dies frequently going through tall or thick grass. I bought a brand new Toro with a 190cc 7.25 ft/lb. Torque engine and it had the same problem, perhaps more so. If I spend a little more money (about $400 more than the new Toro) and get the Honda HRX217VKA will it make a difference? It also has a 190cc engine but I've read that the Honda engines are much better.
  • My motor bikes lights won't turn on and engine is dying after 5000rpm? Hey i've recently replaced my odometer due to old on being faulty. Just a few days ago, all of a sudden my bikes lights won't turn on and the engine starts dying after 5000rpm. Would anyome know what's wrong P.s I own a honda cbr250rr
  • If you drove a '95 Honda civic into a tree head on, what are your chances of dying? I feel like it would most likely be instant death because of the sudden stop and you cud slam your head on steering wheel, etc etc.
  • Car keeps dying when driving? I have a 1997 Honda Prelude. After a few blocks of driving the car suddenly loses power and dies and the rpm drops. It happens after a few blocks of driving or when I launch and downshift. I check oil, it's fine. No check engine light, the last time it was a knock sensor and I replaced it and light went away. But it still drives horrible. It seems stuck or something. I took it to a mechanic and he couldn't find the problem. I'm stuck on this for weeks now
