Why is there a quiet ticking/ spinning noise in my engine. And is it serious?

I own a 2014 Honda Accord which I had purchased almost a year ago. And this week I just noticed that my car's engine is making a quiet ticking/ spinning noise in the engine. I checked the oil level and it shows that it still has oil so I have no idea what it is. And I don't know if it's serious or not.

Probably something associated with the serpentine belt, like the AC compressor, the water pump or even just a passive pulley.

Take it to a mechanic.

Lose lifter maybe?

There are hundreds of parts moving in your engine. Some noise is normal.

Did you adjust the valves at 60,000 miles? All Honda motors require valve adjustments every 60,000 miles.

There are many things that rotate and are not silent as they do it. You could remove the serpentine belt and rotate each accessory pulley to try to find one that is grinding or wobbling. Do not try rotating the crankshaft backwards.
