Why my 91 Honda accord automatic transmission won't go in reverse only make a grinding noise?
All gears work perfect only when I put in reverse start making a grinding noise already change the trans fluid
The reverse idler gear may be worn so much reverse does not want to go in gear or pops out when trying to back up. Make sure the shift bushing under the car is not frozen. This is a common problem that is cheap to fix and will cause hard shifting.
Something is wrong with the transmission… Get it repaired.
- Why does my quad make a grinding noise? Just recently i noticed that my 1990 honda fourtrax 200 rwd was making a grinding noise in the rear. The grinding noise only happens when i turn right. I think it might be the differential but i just wanted some advice on what it might be or what i should do.

- Honda Rebel makes clicking/grinding noise when shifted into gear I was driving it just fine until my rpms went high and it rolled to a stop. Could not get it to move. When I shift into first it makes a grinding noise and it won't even stall if I use the clutch incorrectly. Anyone know what it is?
- My car won't move in any gear under its own power but rolls in park while making a grinding noise I drive a 08 Honda Civic LX automatic. Yesterday I tried to take off from a stop and heard a loud metal snapping sound followed by loud grinding. Then it wouldn t move under its own power in any gear even reverse. It starts just fine, even idles as if nothing s wrong, will rev too. I have to have the emergency brake on because it rolls in park. In park it also makes grinding noises.
