Would a bad valve in the engine of a 92 Honda accord cause check engine light to turn on?
Would a bad valve in the engine of a 92 Honda accord cause check engine light to turn on?
Yes,
Honda's have a common problem of valves tightening after 100k miles. They need to be adjusted. Honda knows this, and it is actually in the maintenance schedule of the car.
Yes, but so could dozens of other problems. Why do you think it's a bad valve and which valve (PCV, intake/exhaust, IAC, EGR, etc.)? You need to have the trouble code read from the car's computer, and proceed from there. You can actually read the code yourself (see reference) or check around for a service station or auto parts store that will do it for free.
